Musicianship
I firmly believe that in order to be a great music educator I must be a great musician as well, so in order to achieve this I surrounded myself in various musical ensembles.
I am able to stay involved with the Crittenden County Community Band
We are a group of Band Directors, Retired Band Directors, Students, and Music Enthusiasts!
Below are two videos from our latest performances!

Penn State Ensembles
At Penn State I was very fortunate to be able to have many great musical opportunities.
My Primary Instrument is Percussion where I have the opportunity to study with Dan Armstrong and Gifford Howarth. I study all aspects of Percussion and have been able to work extensively on snare drum, marimba, and timpani technique.

I have participated with this ensembles for 7 semesters. I have also spent time playing in the Mallet Ensemble for 1 semester. The mallet ensemble plays music primarily for keyboard percussion instruments. With the Mallet Ensemble I have been able to perform at the Magic Marimba Festival in Tampa, Florida.

Voice
I have also been very fortunate to take Voice Lessons as my secondary instrument through the class Voice 100J. I study with graduate student Ameilia Rollings. Her experience in voice performance and pedagogy has helped me grow as a voice student. I have been able to sing pieces for masterclasses and studio recitals and other events. Below is a pdf file of the repertoire I have studied so far.
